Stacy Wessel is the Owner of AK Lands, Land Surveying LLC.  Stacy, a born and raised Alaskan, has been surveying in many different parts of Alaska for 16 years. She has completed numerous types of surveys throughout remote Alaska ranging from site planning, boundary, ALTA/ASCM, plot plans, platting, topographic design and as-built surveys. Stacy has worked with municipalities, organized and unorganized boroughs, native corporations, commercial agencies, private individuals and military agencies. She ensures that project parameters are done with the required coordinate systems and data is compatible with several types of programs including but not limited to AutoCAD, ArcGIS and Google Earth.  Stacy ensures accuracy by tying the survey with NOAA’s Online Positioning User Service that provides high-accuracy National Spatial Reference System coordinates, and if needed, checks the vertical accuracy by recovering and leveling to National Geodetic Survey (NGS) benchmarks on site. Stacy uses a variety of survey equipment ranging from GPS technology, robotic total stations, and digital levels.  More importantly, Stacy accomplishes these surveys in some of Alaska’s harshest weather conditions while getting the survey done in a timely matter.
